When Ben Watts D.J.’d on Ditch Plains beach on Long Island for a few dozen friends no one expected it to become an annual party. 10 years later, the highly annual anticipated party of Montauk has become a tradition and ineviably the biggest party of this past weekend. After outgrowing Ditch Plains Beach, the party moved to Rick’s Crabby Cowboy Cafe. But this year out grew the restaurant/bar itself.

Hosted by Ben Watts (brother of Naomi Watts), Mazdack Rassi, and Ben Pundole showed Montauk how to seriously party,Estimated at over 3,000 attendees, the police put an end to Shark Attack Sounds due to capacity laws. Dressed from Bohemian Chic, to a high priced Hipster, to Beach Babe, party goers showed of their style and alot of..ahem..cleavage. Bros in madras plaid, popped collars, and bathing suit trucks high fived those in linen shirts and button downs. It was a clashing of dressy verses casual, bankers vs socialites, and party babes vs beach goddesses. The Shark Attack Sounds didn’t disappoint, and the versatile crowd added to the ecclectic atmopshere. Much like the party last year, it didn’t get into full swing until 11pm and ended just after 11:30pm. However, it doesn’t mean it didn’t beat expectations. The party ending early only added to the hype, and the crowd went wild after a possible hint at an upcoming Halloween Party this year. If this year’s costumes, attendance, and fashion were any indication of what to expect, we’re left drooling with anticipation.
