Is there anything better than a movie montage/amazing view set to awesome music? Only a real life version!
Beginning this Wednesday, July 18, The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is hosting a series of events including Spacefest and Sound Waves on the Intrepid in honor of the new Space Shuttle Pavilion and Space Shuttle Enterprise. Wednesday’s kick off features a free, that’s right, free concert showcasing the music of Red Baraat, Delicate Steve, Javelin, MNDR and DJ Vito Fun. In addition to the funky, eclectic mixes of these musicians, Sound Waves on the Intrepid also promises appearance of a variety of food and vendor trucks for your consuming pleasure, all with a backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.
For the unlucky who have already booked up tomorrow night, Sound Waves on the Intrepid continues through August 22 featuring different musicians every Wednesday. All shows are free with RSVP on the Intrepid website, which is also the best place to find the lineups each week.
