Andrew J. Nemr, protégé of Gregory Hines, and a leader in the tap dance world brings his one-man show, “Andrew J. Nemr and Friends” to New York City’s The Cutting Room, Thursday, April 18, 2013. Dubbed as “One of the hardest working tap dancers, today,” by the New Yorker, Andrew has worked with such luminaries as Les Paul, Savion Glover and may be found on award-winning, cellist, David Eggar’s Grammy Nominated recording Grammy Nominated recording “Itsbynne Reel” (Best Instrumental).

In “Andrew J. Nemr and Friends,” the tap soloist, tells stories of love, and life through dance and music, as he shares the stage with some of his exceptionally talented friends that he’s met along the way. Through solo and ensemble tap dance, Andrew tells the profound story of his mentee/mentor bond with the late dance legend, Gregory Hines. Renowned Jazz musicians, including pianist, Gordon Webster, bass player, Gregory Jones, vocalist, Daria Musk, saxophonist, Sean Nowell, cellist David Eggar and special guest, pianist, Nat Adderly, Jr., as well as Andrew’s professional dance company, Cats Paying Dues/CPD Plus, accompany the critically-acclaimed artist on stage.
