Since 1998, the Place has been a hidden gem of the West Village. Its three room establishment is cozy and homey, complete with oak beamed ceilings and slate floors that create an old world setting, perfect for intimate meals, whether brunch with friends or a night with your beloved.
Known for its mouthwatering modern European and American dishes, the Place is open for brunch and dinner. It has a wide selection of wines and cocktails, as well as unforgettable dishes like their Pumpkin-Shitake Risotto, 3 Way Long Island Duck and Whipped White Chocolate Mousse. All items on the menu are also unique in that they are made from fresh and organic market products. However, be aware that their food is in high demand, so it’s always best to make a reservation before hand. 4
A favorite among natives and tourists, the Place is the perfect place for a meal during any season. In the winter you can cozy up besides one of their roaring fireplaces, and in the summer you can dine on one of their glorious terraces, which overlook the West Fourth Street. The Place isn’t just about taking though, they also have a philanthropic side. They donate 10% of their profits to New York based children’s charities as well as global green organizations.
